 The third grade is both educational and exciting this year! Mrs. Furney and Mrs. Eakes are keeping students motivated and challenged with hands-on activities in Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading. They are leading children to strive for success in areas of Religion, Handwriting, Spelling, and the English Language. From watching tadpoles go through metamorphosis, to following our country’s history since “birth”, your child will learn more than you thought possible. Through creative writings and readings, your child will learn to express himself/herself imaginatively. Math skills will flourish with multiplication, division, problem-solving and reasoning. Through teachings of the Catholic Religion, your child will mature spiritually. Opportunities in resource classes such as Spanish, Music, Art, Computer Technology, Media, and Physical Education will broaden your child’s awareness and interest in cultural diversity and life applicable skills. These together will contribute to creating compassionate and competitive citizens in our modern-day world.
